Played WoW, and I was addicted for about 7 mos, but Im sick of that game for now, its so easy to get burnt out on, I know the Burning Crusades is coming out in a couple of days, and honestly I could care less. I play Battlefield2, Half-Life2 and couple other strategy games. So………any other ideas?
If you liked WoW for the RPG elements, then try checking out Oblivion, Baldur's Gate: Shadow's of Amn, or Wizardry 8.
Oblivion I only played for a few hours, but once you get used to the controls, it is so addicting. You kill things, pick locks, fix your equipment, brew potions… and that was all before I was even out of the first dungeon!
BG: SoA was more intense and required more minimanageament, but if that's what you're looking for, it's great. There're so many classes and races and ways to combine the two, I've played it through a couple times just as a thief/rogue, customizing the class how I like it. The expansion introduces a new class that's good if you like a bit of unpredicability, and is just as long as the original.
Wizardry 8 stole me for RPGs of it's kind, and I'm severely pissed with myself for losing one of the discs- it's that good. It's in-between Oblivion and BG:SoA, but is definitely of a similar quality. The customization and AI are nice, and the first-person view works in it, unlike in so many others.
Hope that helped!

I like Everquest and I've played it for about 4 years. I played wow for awhile too, but then went back to Everquest. I like the variety of Everquest and the community.
