I took a free trial of WOW, but never really played it. I love strategy computer games like Battle for Middle Earth and Age of Empires. Is Wow for me? Is Guild Wars comparable to WOW or any good?
WOW is not a strategy game it is strictly a RPG. So you would probably not enjoy it.
You could try the free trial again just to make sure.

WoW isn't even a fucking strategy game. You will hate it.

hard to tell if you havent really played it…
try another free trial account and play it this time to see.
i havent played the other games, so i dont know, but wow is more role playing, not so much strategy.
there is strategy, but not like troop placement and resources like the others…

If you like more strategy games, then maybe WoW isnt your thing.
WoW is a 1st person or 3rd person roleplaying game…
Guild Wars is limited that it doesnt come up with a expanding storyline as fast as WoW…but there is no fee to play it.

Wow is more of a hit and run type of game. No strategy is involved, really, unless you fight in a party. WoW is not as realistic as GW, but I find WoW way more entertaining. But when I got to level 15 I sort of didn't want to raise levels anymore, stopped playing, my subscription ran out, and now I have to re-buy it(I buy the pre-paid cards, not through credit cards). Although, now I want to play it, but I don't know if I'll really play 30$ worth of the subscription(60 days). So you should only get WoW if you know you'll play worth what you pay. Guild Wars is sort of more fun and can be entertaining for a long time.

No. WoW is not a strategy game. WoW is incredibly addictive and senseless. My best friend got hooked on WoW last May and played an insane amount of hours each day (around 6 to 12). Every single day. I hadn't seen him since last year May, but I saw him a few days ago and he told me that he had recently quit playing WoW. He told me about how much of a waste of time it was (as I had warned him) and he regrets spending a year and hundred of dollars on the stupid game.
Don't get it.
Go outside and soak up some sunshine, the first day of summer is soon to be here.

yeah Wow is bad and if you dont like it , its cost allot
try some other mmorpgs like my fav
Runescape
or
Dragon fable
adventure quest
something like that
